I’m Michael Lynch - a publicist based in Chicago who strives to blend culture and communication.
Currently, I’m on the Crisis and Issues Team at Golin where I work with Fortune 500 food and beverage, hospitality and healthcare companies on issues preparedness, crisis response and media relations.
Additionally, I represent the internationally-recognized artist femdot on matters related to brand partnerships and media relations, serve as a Brand Ambassador for Apple and work with BET at their televised award shows.
An alum of the global communications firm FleishmanHillard, I previously worked with legacy brands, including PepsiCo and its subsidiaries Gatorade and Quaker Oats, on their media relations and multicultural efforts. Moreover, I assisted AT&T, Topman and Hunter Boots with sharing their stories through digital and social media campaigns and events.
Before transitioning to the private sector, I got my start in higher education and focused on expanding multicultural curriculum and increasing diverse representation in leadership positions. In my role at the nation’s largest catholic institution, I spearheaded response efforts regarding free speech, diversity and inclusion and the Illinois budget crisis.
When I’m not working, I love to study art, read, listen to music, travel, cook and run.
With a passion for giving back, you can also find me volunteering for civic engagement campaigns and mentoring high school and college students. It is my belief that to whom much is given, much is required.
Feel free to follow me on my other socials and thank you for coming along on this journey.
